RPO Codes from Service
Parts IDentification Label
Each General Motors vehicle
is equipped with a decal called the Service Parts IDentification label, or
SPID label. The SPID label lists the RPO codes, or Regular
Production Option codes, which are most of the serviceable features and
options on the car so mechanics at a General Motors dealer can quickly see
what features are on the car. Each option or feature has a
3-character identifier code that GM assigns to it, meaning that any
General Motors dealer can easily decode any option or feature listed on a
SPID label. This is a tabular listing of
all the RPO codes on the SPID decal, located in the spare tire hatch in
the trunk.
