Heritage of Ownership Medallion

Starting in 1989, Cadillac started rewarding its loyal customers with the Heritage of Ownership medallion.  Made of solid brass, it signifies your loyalty and pride in the Cadillac marque.  Every purchaser of a new Cadillac automobile is entitled to a personalized medallion.  The center of the medallion is marked with the word "Cadillac" and a roman numeral, from I to XVII, denoting the number of new Cadillacs you have owned in your lifetime.

Because this is my first Cadillac, I went on the search for one with a roman numeral I on it.  I found one on eBay; it's NOS and completely clean and free of any blemish.  The bracket that was supplied with the medallion (the original new bracket) was plastic and was supposed to snap into one of the grille openings.  This bracket didn't quite fit my SLS's grille, and I wanted something more secure anyway.  I used a 3" long machine screw with a flat tapered head and a piece of 20-gauge bar stock with a hole drilled in it.  My medallion is now hard mounted, right to the grille, and much more secure than if I used the plastic bracket, in my opinion.

For best performance, set resolution to at least 800x600.
