1997 Cadillac Seville Luxury Sedan (SLS)
This is a very late model 1997 Cadillac SLS. I am the third owner of the car, the second in our family to own it. This is a great car to take a trip in, either across the state or across town. The ride is smooth with the soft-ride suspension, and still firm enough for it to be sure-footed on a two-lane road. Under the hood lies the 32-valve Northstar V8 engine. This is an excellent engine -- very smooth and powerful. Stomp on the gas and the engine roars with the four cams singing a wonderful Detroit harmony; stay off the throttle and it's extremely quiet and reserved. It's a very flexible, high-performance engine that makes great use of the suspension and transmission of this car. Inside is pure luxury, with dual heated leather seats with 6-way adjustments, plus 4-way power lumbar (inflation and position controls). Awesome illuminated instrumentation includes a large 7000-rpm tachometer and 150-mph speedometer (with smaller temp and gas gauges). This engine will use up most of the real estate of that tachometer; redline starts at 6250 rpm.
As you can see from the (blurry) picture below, it's got almost 85,000 miles as of December 2001.
